Today you are two years old! Where has the time gone? Two years ago, in the early hours of the morning, you were brought into my world and changed everything for the better.
You’re still sticking to a vegetarian diet, and you make very healthy with food choices. When we went to order your ladybug cupcakes yesterday, the baker offered you a sugar cookie. You played with it for the rest of our visit to the grocery store and through our visits to our next two errands. You would take a bite, think a bit, and then take a break. You just weren’t sure what to think of it. However, you can usually go through your fruits, veggies, and beans at lightning speed.
You have embraced being a big sister. You adore Calista, and I’m so proud of how you behave and play with her. You love to tell everyone that she’s your baby sister, and you read books to her in baby talk. It’s fun to watch you show her all of the pictures like I do with you. You’re like a second mommy. You also love to care for your babies while I change Calista’s diapers or give her bottles. It’s precious.
You’ve been adding more words and phrases to your vocabulary. The other day you said “so stinky” after dropping a big load, and I just had to laugh. It really was so stinky. You also say “oh gosh” when you’re upset.
You love to organize, and every morning you take out all of my dish towels and lay them out the way you think they should go. It’s entertaining to watch, and you take the job very seriously.
You have a very compassionate spirit, and I’m always amazed by your thoughtfulness. You give hugs when you can tell others are sad, and you love to share and give your toys to others. I’m so proud of the little girl you’ve become.
Today we’re having your friends over for a birthday party. We’re having a ladybug garden theme, and I hope that everything turns out perfectly for you. I’m sure you’ll have a wonderful time with all of your friends. Your daddy has been in Arizona the last couple of months, and he’ll be home on the 24th. I know he’s looking forward to celebrating with you as well. You’ll also have a party in Portland with our Oregon family next month. You’re loved by many.
Although, I’m sad that you’re no longer a baby, I’m excited to see you grow as a little girl. You’re smart, beautiful, and bring a smile to my face every day. I couldn’t ask for more.
Love Always,
Mommy
It was a long but lovely day filled with celebration. I’ll post your video when I’m not so tired.
