Today you’re five months old! You have
the sweetest spirit, and you make me feel happy and loved every day.
You’re always smiling and cooing. When
you get excited you start shrieking like a bird of prey, and nobody gets you
more excited than your sisters. They both love you very much, and you go crazy
when they bring you toys and blankets. You can’t wait to have the ability to
chase after them. You are able to roll across the room and scoot on your back
though.
You’re drooling heavily, and you seem
to have a couple little white tooth spots on your gums. The girls drooled for a
long time, before we saw any teeth though.
You have a severe case of torticollis and have started seeing a physical
therapist. I wish we would have understood your condition better and sooner,
but pediatric care isn’t good in our small town. Thankfully you’re now seeing a
physical therapist that is helping you, and mommy and daddy, with your neck
muscles. We hope with our diligence, that your range of motion and comfort
level will be where they should be soon. You’re also going to get a helmet
around six months to help round your head; you had a flat spot develop due to
your condition. There’s a chance you may need physical therapy for your back as
well. Daddy and I both worry about you, but your physical therapist has assured
us that with diligence and care, you’ll be running around with your peers as a
toddler.
“I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you
for always, as long as I’m living my baby you’ll be.” Robert Munsch
Love Always,
Mommy
